Amal

Terms of use

Effective 30 October 2026

By using Amal you agree to these terms. If you have questions, write to apphelp.amal@gmail.com.

The app

Amal is free to use. It helps you keep a habit of daily prayer and Quran reading; it is not a source of religious rulings. Prayer times are calculated from astronomical formulas and the Qibla direction depends on your phone’s sensors, so please check them against your local mosque when it matters.

Friends

Choose a respectful display name. Don’t use Amal to harass anyone or to impersonate others. We may remove accounts that break these rules. You can remove any friend at any time.

Supporter

Supporter is an optional one-time purchase that unlocks extra lantern colours and share card designs. Purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their terms, including refunds. The core app stays free.

Quran text and translations

The Quran text comes from Tanzil.net and is shown without changes. Translations belong to their translators and are provided through alquran.cloud.

No warranty

Amal is provided “as is”. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we can’t guarantee it will always be error-free or uninterrupted, and we aren’t liable for losses that come from using it, to the extent the law allows.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version.
